Saudi Aramco
  Overview
 November, 2005

Saudi Aramco's operations span the globe and the energy industry. The world leader in crude oil production, Saudi Aramco also owns and operates an extensive network of refining and distribution facilities, and is responsible for the gas processing and transportation installations that fuel Saudi Arabia's industrial sector. An array of international subsidiaries and joint ventures, including one of the world's largest and newest fleet of supertankers, deliver crude oil and refined products to customers worldwide.

 Challenge

Being the world leader in crude oil production, Saudi Aramco serves the interest of the world. Therefore ensuring its safety is top priority. An enormous combination of employee, visitor, and supplier vehicles pass through the Dhahran site daily. Logging all these vehicles was almost impossible to do during peak hours. The goal was to implement an automated solution.

 Solution

ForeVision provided our ANPR solution at 36 gates. Vehicles flow by at steady speeds without stopping which solves the problem of having a large queuing of vehicles during peak hours. The system accounts for employees, contractors, and pre-registered visitors. If an unauthorized or unregistered vehicle arrives at the gate alerts are generated for quick response
